Steamer jambalaya

Ingredients

½ pounds Smoked sausage
½ cup Green pepper; chopped
½ cup Onion; chopped
1 each Garlic clove; minced
1 tablespoon Flour
14½ ounce Can whole tomatoes
1 cup Water
2 teaspoons Dried parsley
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon Whole thyme
teaspoon Ground red pepper
1 cup Raw converted rice
8 ounces Shrimp; peeled & deveined

Directions

Place sausage, green pepper, onion and garlic in rice bowl. Add ½ cup water to reservoir, cover and steam from 10 to 12 minutes.

Stir flour into sausage mixture. Blend well. Add remaining ingredients except shrimp. Add 2-½ cups water to reservoir, cover and steam 43 to 44 minutes.

Add shrimp. Add ½ cup water to reservoir, cover and steam 10 to 12 minutes.

Serves 4

Total steaming time: 63 to 68 minutes.
