Steamer polish sausage supper

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 Potatoes; peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 pounds Smoked polish sausage
16 ounces Can sauerkraut
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Sugar
½ teaspoon Caraway seed

Directions

Place potatoes in steamer basket. Add ½ cup water to reservoir, cover and steam from 10 to 12 minutes.

Slice sausage into ½-inch pieces. Place sausage in rice bowl. top with steamed potatoes. Cover with sauerkrat and sprinkle seasonings on top. Add 2 cups water to reservoir, cover and steam from 38 to 39 minutes.

Serves 4

Total steaming time: 48 to 52 minutes.
