Strawberry preserves #1

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 cups Sugar
½ cup Water
4 cups Fresh strawberries

Directions

Boil 2 cups sugar and water until mixture spins a thread; add 2 cups strawberries and bring to a full boil. Add 2 cups sugar and allow to come to a boil again; add 2 cups strawberries and boil 15 minutes. Cool in large container, shaking occasionally to plump berries. Put in sterile jars and seal with paraffin. Makes 2 pints.
