Strudel - poppy seed filling

Quantity Ingredient
1 pounds Poppy seeds -- ground
¾ cup Honey
½ cup Light cream
½ cup Currants
1 tablespoon Grated lemon rind
3 tablespoons Melted butter

Directions

Cook the poppy seeds, honey, cream and currants until thick. Stir in the lemon rind and cool. Spread on the oiled strudel dough (two recipes for strudel dough are included inthis database) and roll up.
