2 | cups | Water |
2 | eaches | Beef bouillon cubes |
½ | cup | Dark brown sugar |
1 | cup | Ketchup |
½ | cup | Cider vinegar |
1 | pounds | Tomato puree |
1 | tablespoon | Garlic salt |
1 | tablespoon | Celery salt |
1 | tablespoon | Chili powder |
½ | teaspoon | Ground allspice |
½ | teaspoon | Ground ginger |
½ | teaspoon | Ground cloves |
½ | teaspoon | Dry mustard |
½ | cup | Drained sweet pickle relish |
Directions
Brown ribs in heavy kettle. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 2 hours, or until tender. Makes 8 servings. Origin: Woman's Day Encyclopedia of Cookery, Volume 1, West Virginia Section.
