West virginia hot peppers

5 pounds Jalapenos
1 quart Tomato sauce
1 cup Vinegar
1 cup Cooking oil
2 tablespoons Salt
2 tablespoons Sugar

Directions

Wear rubber gloves when handling peppers. Cut peppers in half and remove seeds. Put tomato sauce, vinegar, oil, salt and sugar to boil. Add peppers and cook exactly 8 minutes. Put in hot clean canning jars and seal. Process in hot water bath for 15 minutes.
