Caccitore with a twist

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Uncooked rotini
2 teaspoons Olive oil or oil
1 medium Onion, sliced
1 small Green pepper, seeded and cut into strips
2 cloves Garlic, minced
½ pounds Turkey breast slices, cut into strips
15 ounces Can tomato sauce
15 ounces Can chick peas, drained
¾ teaspoon Dried oregano leaves

Directions

Cook rotini to desired doneness. Drain and keep warm. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add onion, pepper, garlic, and turkey. Cook, stirring, 5-10 minutes until turkey is no longer pink. Add tomato sauce, beans and oregano; mix well. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and cover. Simmer 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve over rotini.
