Caccitore with a twist

Ingredients

1 | cup | Uncooked rotini |
2 | teaspoons | Olive oil or oil |
1 | medium | Onion, sliced |
1 | small | Green pepper, seeded and cut into strips |
2 | cloves | Garlic, minced |
½ | pounds | Turkey breast slices, cut into strips |
15 | ounces | Can tomato sauce |
15 | ounces | Can chick peas, drained |
¾ | teaspoon | Dried oregano leaves |
Directions
Cook rotini to desired doneness. Drain and keep warm. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add onion, pepper, garlic, and turkey. Cook, stirring, 5-10 minutes until turkey is no longer pink. Add tomato sauce, beans and oregano; mix well. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and cover. Simmer 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve over rotini.
