Cherry pickles

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
8 cups Cherries, with stems
cup White vinegar
cup Water
6 tablespoons White sugar
3 tablespoons Coarse pickling salt

Directions

Pack cherries into hot sterilized jars. Combine the remaining ingredients, bring to boil and boil for 4 minutes. Pour syrup over cherries and seal. Allow to stand for at least 2 weeks before serving. Makes 4 pints.
