Chocolate rum frosting

¼ | cup | (1/2 stick) butter, softened |
8 | ounces | Cream cheese, softened |
16 | ounces | Powdered sugar, divided |
3 | ounces | Melted unsweetened chocolate |
¼ | cup | Rum |
Milk, if needed |
Directions
With electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter and cream cheese until creamy. Add half the powdered sugar and the chocolate; mix well. On low speed, add remaining powdered sugar and rum; beat until mixture is of spreading consistency, adding a few drops of milk if it is too thick. Use as directed to frost chocolate rum cake.
