1½ | cup | Milk |
3.00 | tablespoon | Shortening; melted |
1.00 | cup | Cranberries, raw; ground |
½ | cup | Sugar |
2.00 | tablespoon | Cornstarch |
1.00 | teaspoon | Salt |
1½ | cup | Water; boiling |
1.00 | tablespoon | Butter (or marg.) |
1.00 | tablespoon | Orange rind; grated |
½ | cup | Orange juice |
1.00 | tablespoon | Lemon juice |
Directions
ORANGE SAUCE
Combine biscuit mix and sugar; stir in eggs and milk. Add melted shortening, mixing well; fold in cranberries. Bake in a preheated waffle baker, and serve with Orange sauce.
Orange Sauce: Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add to boiling water. Cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter orange rind, orange juice, and lemon juice. Yield: about 2 cups.
