Cream cheese spread <t>

1 Servings

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 pack (8 oz) lite cream cheese or Neuchatel; softened
1 pack (8 oz) fatfree cream cheese; softened
2 tablespoons Fatfree mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Onion; chopped
1 dash Seasoned salt or garlic powder
1 tablespoon Sesame seeds

Directions

Mash all ingredients except sesame seeds together (you may need to use your hands). Form into a ball. Place in a small Pam-sprayed baking dish or small ovenproof bowl. Pat the sesame seeds all over to top so they cover any exposed cream cheese.

Bake at 325 degrees F for half hour (or longer if you need. The exact time isn't important.) Serve warm with crackers. It is okay when it cools, but best when warm, so you can place the dish on a warming tray for serving if you have one or nuke it quickly ever so often to warm it up again. This isn't the consistency of a dip - you'll need to provide a small knife or spreader for serving.

(Note: if you can find seasoned rye chips, this is the suggested cracker from the original recipe.)

Note: You can also bake this in a ball in pie plate (it will spread out a bit) and serve on a tray with the crackers surrounding it.
