Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
1 | pounds | Hamburger |
1 | small | Onion |
2 | Stalks celery | |
½ | Green pepper | |
2 | Cloves garlic | |
1 | can | Hunt's chili beans (large can) |
1 | can | Solid pack tomatoes (large can) |
Directions
In wooden bowl, chop onion, celery, green pepper and garlic until very fine (this can be done in the food processor also, but be careful...it can turn into mush in no time at all). Brown hamburger and add chopped vegetables.
Simmer for 5 minutes or so. Add beans and tomatoes. Simmer 30 minutes or so until fully heated through.
My dad made up this recipe more than 30 years ago. Makes a great quick meal.
