from:Great Recipes of the world Nov 1982 Combine ale, flour and salt with a form or whisk, until mixture is smooth.
Dip apple slices in mixture. Fry in deep fat or in 1 inch of oil in heavy skillet at 370 degs frying temperture. Drain. sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serve immediately. serves 4-6 Recipe Archive - 29 July 96
