¼ | teaspoon | Ground nutmeg |
1 | Slightly beaten egg | |
⅔ | cup | Margarine or melted butter |
½ | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
½ | cup | Milk |

Date: Fri, 23 Feb 1996 17:42:22 -0500 Grease twelve 2½-inch muffin cups; set aside.
In a large bowl combine flour, ½ cup sugar, the baking powder, nutmeg, and ⅛ teaspoon salt. Make a well in the center. In a small bowl combine egg, milk, and ⅓ cup margarine. Add to flour mixture. Stir JUST TILL MOISENED (batter should be lumpy).
Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling each ⅔ full. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or till golden. Meanwhile, combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Immediatly dip tops of muffins into remaining melted margarine, then into cinnamon-sugar mixture. Serve warm.
Makes 12 muffins.
