Grilled steak sandwich

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 Beef Flank Steak; (About 1 Lb.)
1 teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper
4 slices Italian Bread
½ cup Mayonnaise
¼ cup Prepared Salsa; Drained
1 Green Onion; Thinly Sliced
2 teaspoons Fresh Cilantro; Minced
2 cups Iceberg Lettuce; Shredded

Directions

Sprinkle pepper on both sides of flank steak. Place on grid over medium coals. Grill about 10 minutes, turning once , to desired doneness. Thinly slice meat across grain. Grill or toast bread slices. In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, salsa, onion, and cilantro. Spread on one side of each bread slice. Top with lettuce and steak slices.

NOTES : This sandwich can stand alone, or pair it with Tomato Basil Soup for an especially satisfying meal.
