Saucy flank steak sandwich

Ingredients

1 | 1 1/2 lb lean flank steak | |
1 | cup | Reduced calorie ketchup |
¼ | cup | Red wine vinegar |
2 | tablespoons | Light colored corn syrup |
1 | tablespoon | Prepared mustard |
1 | teaspoon | Worcestershire sauce |
1 | teaspoon | Hot sauce |
Cooking spray | ||
8 | 1 1/2 oz hamburger buns | |
Ripe olives, optional |
Directions
Trim fat from steak. Combine steak and next 6 ingredients (steak through hot sauce) in large zip-top plastic bag. Seal bag; marinate in refrigerator 8 hours, turning bag occasionally. Remove steak from bag, reserving marinade.
Prepare grill or broiler. Place steak on grill rack or broiler pan coated with cooking spray; grill or broil 8 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Slice steak diagonally across grain into thin strips.
Set aside; keep warm.
Pour reserved marinade through a sieve into a small microwave-safe bowl; cover with plastic wrap. Microwave at HIGH 5 minutes or unitl marinade boils. Divide steak evenly among bottom halves of buns; top each with 2 tbsp marinade and top half of bun. Garnish with olives if desired.
