Harvest ham bake

Ingredients

2 | mediums | Squash, acorn |
1½ | pounds | Ham; sliced 1/2\" thick |
⅓ | cup | Sugar, brown; firmly packed |
2 | tablespoons | Mustard, dry |
2 | teaspoons | Water |
3 | mediums | Apples, cooking; cut in 1/2\" slices |
¼ | teaspoon | Nutmeg, ground |
2 | tablespoons | Butter (or marg.) |
2 | cups | Apple cider |
Directions
Wash squash; cut into ¼" slices, and remove seeds. Place slices in a 2-½ quart casserole and arrange ham slices on top.
Combine sugar, mustard, and water; spread over ham.
Arrange apples over ham; sprinkle with nutmeg, and dot with butter.
Pour cider over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 1-½ hours, basting often.
