Hearty hamburger tomato stew

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 pounds Ground beef; lean turkey (2 1/2 cups, browned)
cup Chopped onion
2 cups Carrots; peeled and sliced
1 cup Green bell pepper; chopped
1 cup Fresh mushrooms; sliced
1 can (16 oz) green beans; cut, drained
1 can (16 oz) corn; drained
3 Stalks celery; sliced
1 can (46 oz) tomato juice
2 teaspoons Sugar
1 teaspoon Celery seed
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Brown ground beef or turkey in a large saucepan. Mix in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer covered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool and freeze.

To prepare for serving, thaw stew. Then bring to a boil; reduce heat; simmer

10 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
