Hickory sticks

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Brown sugar
¼ cup Butter
1 large Egg
1⅓ cup Flour
½ teaspoon Baking powder
teaspoon Salt
cup Nuts; preferably hickory nuts
Confectioner's sugar

Directions

Cream sugar, butter & egg. Sift flour with baking powder & salt. Combine flour with creamed mixture & add nuts. Line 9-inch pie tin with paper.

Spread batter & smooth out. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. Cut in long, narrow stript while still warm & roll in confectioner's sugar.
