Homemade oven frying mix for chicken

2 | Envelopes (or teaspoons) Instant chicken broth | |
2 | teaspoons | Paprika |
1 | teaspoon | Poultry seasoning |
1 | teaspoon | Onion powder |
1 | teaspoon | Leaf oregano, crumbled |
1 | teaspoon | Leaf rosemary, crumbled |
1 | teaspoon | Celery salt |
¼ | teaspoon | Coarse-grind pepper |
¼ | teaspoon | Garlic powder (optional) |
Directions
I'm cleaning out loose recipes so before I throw them out I thought I'd post some. I think this came from "Womans Day Magazine" years ago. Of course you can use your favorite seasonings instead of those in the recipe.
Combine in moisture-proof container: Use about 1 tablespoon of the mixture per serving of cut-up chicken parts; moisten chicken in tomato juice or other liquid before shaking with crumb mixture. Bake. Posted to EAT-L Digest 16 Apr 97 by Jean Jones <bruja@...> on Apr 16, 1997
