Hot apple wine

Ingredients

½ | cup | Raisins |
1 | cup | Light rum |
6 | cups | Apple wine or hard cider |
2 | cups | Orange juice |
⅓ | cup | Brown sugar |
6 | Whole cloves | |
2 | Cinnamon sticks | |
1 | Orange, slice |
Directions
In small bowl, soak raisins in rum for several hours or overnight.
In large saucepan, combine all ingredients and heat, stirring often, until sugar dissolves. Simmer gently until hot. Do not boil. Serve in heatproof punch cups or mugs. Makes 9 cups. Typed in MMFormat by cjhartlin@... Source: Canadian Living Merry Christmas Cookbook.
