Hot fruit compote #1

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 can (16-oz) sliced peaches; drained
1 can (16-oz) pear halves; drained, chopped
1 can (16-oz) purple plums; drained, pitted
1 can (20-oz) pineapple chunks; drained
1 Jar (6-oz) maraschino cherries; drained
2 Bananas; sliced
¾ cup Brown sugar
cup Butter or margarine
1 can (16-oz) applesauce
3 tablespoons Brown sugar
½ cup Chopped pecans

Directions

Combine first six ingredients in 13x9x2-inch casserole. Set aside. Combine sugar, butter & applesauce in saucepan & heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally. Spoon over fruit. Sprinkle with brown sugar & pecans. Bake at 300 for 1 hour. Serve hot. (May be prepared ahead & frozen. To serve, thaw overnight in refrigerator.) Serves 12.
