Mary's poppy seed filling

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ pounds Ground Poppy Seeds
1 cup Water
1 cup Milk
1 tablespoon Butter
½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1 cup Granulated Sugar
½ cup Graham Crackers, crushed
½ cup Raisins, Softened In
Water & Drained

Directions

NOTE: Makes enough for 3 dozen cookies.

1. In heavy saucepan, cook the poppy seeds and water until the mixture thickens. Add the milk and cook over low heat for 10 mins, stirring often.

2. Add butter, vanilla and cinnamon, stir and add the sugar. Continue cooking for 5 mins, stirring. Remove from the heat and stir in graham crackers and raisins. Let cool.
