Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
1 | can | Green beans; drained |
1 | can | Garbanzo beans; drained |
1 | can | Kidney beans; drained |
1 | Jar pimento; drained, chopped | |
½ | Maui onion; chopped | |
4 | Stalks celery; chopped | |
½ | Green pepper; chopped | |
1½ | cup | Sugar |
½ | cup | Apple cider vinegar |
Salt; to taste |
Directions
Drain and rinse beans and put them in a large bowl. Add the drained pimento. Chop onion, celery and green pepper and add to the beans. Add the sugar and vinegar. There is plenty of dressing to cover. Don't mix. Cover and marinate overnight. Before serving, mix as little as possible, so you don't tear the beans. This is a great luau dish because it can sit out without any concern for spoiling. Serve with a slotted spoon to drain liquid. 0.7 gm fat/serving
