Mexican fritters

2 | teaspoons | Cinnamon |

1 | Lime; quartered | |
1 | can | (17.3 oz) Pillsbury Grands Refrigerated Buttermilk biscuits |
Directions
In shallow dish or pie pan, combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside. Pour oil into large skillet until ½" deep; add lime pieces. Heat to 375 degrees.
With slotted spoon, remove lime pieces from oil; discard. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Working with 1 biscuit at a time, roll each biscuit into a 6" circle. Cut each circle into 1" strips. Add strips to hot oil; fry, turning until brown on both sides. Remove with slotted spoon; place on paper towels. Immediately roll in sugar mixture. Serve hot. 4 dozen fritters
