Mince meat for tarts or pies

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 ounces Raisins
4 ounces Currants
4 ounces Prunes
2 ounces Mixed peel
4 ounces Brown sugar
4 ounces Suet
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Spice
¼ cup Rum
½ cup Wine
2 tablespoons Lime juice
1 tablespoon Lime rind.

Directions

chop fruit and suet finely. Add sugar, spices, rum, wine, lime juice and grated ring. Mix well togehter. Put into glass jars, cover closely and allow to stand about 3 weeks before using.
