Mock key lime pie

2 | cans | (14oz each) Sweetened |
Condensed milk | ||
1 | (8oz) bottle lime juice | |
Food colouring -- Yellow or | ||
Green -- optional | ||
Whipped cream |
Directions
Preheat oven to 325F. In large mixer bowl, beat egg yolks with sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and food colouring if desired.
Pour into prepared pastry shell; bake 40 minutes. Cool. Chill. Top with whipped cream. Garnish as desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
Note: If using frozen packaged pie shell or 6oz packaged graham cracker crumb pie crust, use 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 3 egg yolks and ½ cup lime juice. Bake 30 minutes. Proceed as above.
