My mother's sour cream sugared nuts

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ cup Sour cream
cup Sugar
teaspoon Vanilla
4 cups Pecan or walnut halves

Directions

Mix sour cream and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan. Heat to 223ø on candy thermometer. Stir constantly. Add vanilla and nuts. Stir until nuts are well coated. Pour onto an ungreased cookie sheet and spread out. When cool, break nuts apart. Yield: 4 cups.
