New steaks with black bean relish

cup Cooked black beans
2 teaspoons Vegetable oil
1 Red onion; diced
3 Cloves garlic; chopped
2 Fresh jalapenos; diced
2 Roasted red peppers; peeled and diced
¼ cup Balsamic vinegar
½ teaspoon Chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon Chopped basil
1 teaspoon Cumin
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon Olive oil
4 New york steaks; ( 6 ounce )
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

BLACK BEAN RELISH

For the relish, place cooked black beans in a large bowl. In a large saute pan heat oil until very hot. Add red onion, garlic, and diced jalapenos and saute until you can smell the aroma about 1-2 minutes over high heat. Add the roasted red peppers and vinegar. Bring to a boil and add cilantro and basil. Season with cumin and salt and pepper. Pour over beans and toss well. Let cool to room temperature.

In a large saute pan heat oil until smoking hot. Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Put the steaks in the pan and sear both sides well about 2-3 minutes.
