Peaches in primitivo syrup

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 Clove
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Primitivo di Gioia, a dry red wine; from Puglia
4 Peaches

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine clove, sugar and red wine and heat until sugar is dissolved, about 10 minutes. Cool and keep covered. Peel and slice peaches and divide among 4 wine glasses. Pour ¼ cup syrup over each peach and serve immediately with biscotti.

Yield: 4 servings
