Pineapple-pear jam

Ingredients

½ medium Pineapple; cored, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces
4 larges Ripe Anjou pears; peeled, cored, cut into 1\" pieces
4 cups Sugar
cup Fresh lemon juice

Directions

In food processor, pulse pineapple until evenly chopped. Strain.

Place pineapple juice in a large non-reactive saucepan with pears.

Cook over medium low heat until tender (about 10 minutes), stirring occasionally. Add chopped pineapple, sugar and lemon juice to saucepan. Turn heat down to low and let mixture simmer until thick, stirring frequently, about 1 hour. Cool.
