Quick cheese grits

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 quarts Water
1 cup Nonfat milk
½ teaspoon Salt
cup Quick grits
3 tablespoons Butter or margarine
4 ounces Pasteurized Processed cheese
. spread
6 ounces Sharp cheddar cheese,
. shredded
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
¼ teaspoon Red pepper

Directions

Combine the water, milk and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Stir in the grits. Reduce the heat and cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the butter, cheeses, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and red pepper. Stir until the butter and cheeses have melted.

NOTE: If not serving immediately, add milk to make the grits creamy if needed and reheat in a microwave.
