Cheddar-cheese grits

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Water
teaspoon Salt
1 cup White grits
¼ cup Heavy cream
½ pounds Cheddar cheese

Directions

In a 2-quart saucepan bring water to a boil with salt and stir in grits. Lower heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until thick. If grits become too thick, thin out with water. Just before serving add cream and cheese and stir until cheese is melted. Yield: 4 to 6 servings
