Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
½ | cup | Green peppers -- chopped |
¼ | cup | Chopped onions |
¼ | cup | Chopped olives |
1 | Garlic clove -- minced | |
2 | tablespoons | Margarine |
10 | ounces | Tomato sauce -- * see note |
¼ | cup | Milk |
3 | Parsley sprigs -- chopped | |
¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
1 | teaspoon | Bay leaves -- crumbled |
1 | pinch | Thyme |
Directions
* Original recipe called for one 10-ounce can of tomato soup; I prefer tomato sauce, but use soup if you wish, or try a mixture of the two.
The flavored tomato sauces are excellent.
Saute green pepper, onion, olives and garlic in margarine for 5 minutes (or mix olive oil for half the margarine). Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
