Red ginger cabbage saute

1 | medium | Head red cabbage |
2 | tablespoons | Peanut oil |
1 | teaspoon | Minced fresh ginger root |
1 | small | Onion, finely chopped |
1 | teaspoon | Sesame seeds |
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste (cayenne if you like hot) | ||
¼ | cup | Walnut halves or pieces |
Directions
Wash cabbage, and cut into small wedges. Heat oil in wok or large frying pan. Add ginger, onion, sesame seeds. Stir fry 2 minutes. Add cabbage, salt and pepper, and walnuts. Toss. Continue to cook until cabbage is tender crisp. Serve hot, along or over brown rice. Serves 2 as entree, or 4 as a side dish.
