Ribs in pepper sauce

2.19 pounds Ox-ribs
17⅔ ounce Pepper, red
2.00 large Onions
5.00 tablespoon Olive-oil
1.00 tablespoon Sumach
1.00 teaspoon Majoram
1.00 teaspoon Macis
1.00 Pepper, black
1.00 Salt
1.06 quart Water

Directions

Chop the ribs in pcs. of 5 cm, wash and let dry. Fry them slightly, add spices and water. Let cook on little heat for 1½ h. Cut pepper and onions in slices, add to the ribs and let cook for another ½ h.

To serve with rice or potatoes. "Arabische Kueche"
