Shrimp mariniere

Ingredients

2 | Slices of bacon | |
1½ | cup | Diced onions |
1 | Green pepper, seeded and | |

2 | Stalks celery, chopped | |
1 | pounds | Shrimp, peeled and deveined |
Boiling water | ||
1 | cup | Ketchup |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
1 | teaspoon | Worcestershire sauce |
Dash of tabasco sauce |
Directions
1) Cook bacon in frying pan until crisp; drain on paper towels and set aside.
2) Saute onion until golden in remaining bacon fat. Add green pepper and celery; cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
3) Add shrimp and just enough boiling water to cover. Add ketchup, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce, and tabasco sauce; simmer for 30 minutes, or until thicken.
4) Sprinkle with crumbled bacon, and serve hot.
