Skillet cheeseburger pie

1 | pounds | Lean or regular ground beef |
1 | medium | Onion; chopped (about 1/2 cup) |
¾ | cup | Bisquick original baking mix |
½ | cup | Milk (up to) |
½ | teaspoon | Garlic salt |
⅛ | teaspoon | Pepper |
5 | Eggs | |
1½ | cup | Shredded Cheddar cheese (6-oz) |
2 | tablespoons | Margarine or butter (up to) |
2 | mediums | Tomatoes; sliced |
Directions
COOK ground beef and onion in 10-inch skillet, stirring frequently, until beef is brown; drain.
MIX baking mix, milk, garlic salt, pepper and eggs in medium bowl with fork until blended (mixture will be lumpy). Stir in beef mixture and ½ cup of the cheese.
HEAT margarine in 10-inch skillet until melted and bubbly. Gradually pour beef mixture into skillet. Cover and cook over medium-low heat 12 to 17 minutes or until almost set. Top with tomatoes; sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese. Cover and cook 3 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted. 8 servings.
