Smoked sausage gravy

1 | Link smoked sausage | |
½ | cup | All-purpose flour |
2 | cups | Milk |
Salt and pepper |
Directions
Slice smoked sausage into ⅛-inch slices. Brown well in 9 or 10-inch skillet. Remove sausage from skillet. Add flour and brown until dark brown.
(It may be necessary to add some bacon grease, depending on how much grease the sausage produced.) There should not be any grease floating in the mixture when browning is done. Salt and pepper to taste. Add smoked sausage and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, for 5 to 7 minutes.
