Sour cream waffles

2½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
¾ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | tablespoon | Sugar; plus |
1½ | teaspoon | Sugar |
4 | Eggs; separated | |
1 | cup | Sour cream |
1½ | cup | Milk |
¾ | cup | Sweet Butter; melted, plus |
2 | tablespoons | Sweet Butter; melted =OR=- Oil instead of butter |
Directions
SIFT TOGETHER ALL DRY INGREDIENTS. In a separate bowl, beat together the egg yolks, sour cream, milk and melted butter (or oil). Add to the dry mix. Mix together thoroughly. Beat egg whites until stiff, and fold in completely. Bake in preheated waffle iron.
