Spicy black bean sandwich

2 teaspoons Chopped Jalapeno pepper
2 cups Cooked black beans -or-
1 can (16-oz) black beans
¾ cup Red onion
4 tablespoons Chopped cilantro
3 Cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon Mild chili powder
1 teaspoon Ground cumin
2 tablespoons Fresh lime juice
4 Whole wheat pitas
½ Head lettuce
1 Tomato

Date: Sat, 4 May 1996 15:43:21 -0400 From: Cynthia Wunder <101732.2415@...> mash the beans with the spices chop the lettuce and toss it all in the pita pocket. Top with the nonfat yogurt. It was a little to spicy for my kids but everyone else liked it. Next time I will seperate some of the black beans out and then add the spices.
