Steak with mushroom sauce - sl 9/83

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Molasses
1 teaspoon Seasoned salt or Creole
¼ cup Butter or margarine
1 pounds Fresh mushrooms; sliced seasoning
1 teaspoon Seasoned pepper
2 pounds Sirloin steak
Mushroom Sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon Hot sauce

Directions

MUSHROOM SAUCE

Combine first 5 ingredients, stirring well; pour into a large shallow dish. Add steak; cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, turning once.

Drain steak, reserving marinade. Grill over hot coals 8 to 12 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness, basting frequently with marinade. Serve Mushroom Sauce over steak. Yield: 6 servings.

MUSHROOM SAUCE:

Melt butter in a large skillet; add remaining ingredients, and cook over low heat 15 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Yield: about 1-½ cups.
