Sugar and spice gorp

1 | tablespoon | Butter or margarine |
1 | can | (12-ounce) cocktail peanuts |
1⅓ | cup | Sugar |
1 | tablespoon | Plus |
1 | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
2 | teaspoons | Ground nutmeg |
1 | teaspoon | Ground allspice |
Vegetable cooking spray | ||
½ | cup | Raisins |
½ | cup | Coarsely chopped dried apricots |
1 | cup | Candy-coated chocolate pieces |
Directions
Beat egg white at high speed of an electric mixer until still peaks form; stir in butter. Add peanuts, tossing to coat.
Combine sugar and next 3 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add ¼ cup butter-coated peanuts to sugar mixture, tossing to coat. Remove sugar-coated peanuts with a slotted spoon to a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Repeat procedure with remaining sugar mixture and butter-coated peanuts.
Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring about 10 minutes. Let cool.
Combine sugar-coated peanuts, raisins, and remaining ingredients; stir well.
