Warm saute of winter fruit

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
2 tablespoons Maple syrup
1 large Apple -- cored; thinly
Sliced
1 Firm, ripe pear -- cored;
Thinly sliced
cup Raisins or currants
cup Walnuts or pecans --
Chopped
1 dash Ground cinnamon
1 dash Nutmeg
2 tablespoons Water
2 tablespoons Brandy

Directions

1. Melt butter in a saute pan or large skillet. Stir in maple syrup and adjust to taste.

2. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat and stir until fruits are tender.

* Timesaver Tip: Ingredients can be prepared ahead; rub apple and pear slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
