Whole-grain wheat berries (vegan)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Water
1 cup Whole-grain wheat, rinsed
½ teaspoon Salt, (added AFTER cooking)

Directions

In 2qt saucepan, boil water, stir in wheat, and return to boil.

Reduce to simmer, covered, for 2 hours, until almost all of the liquid has been absorbed. Remove from heat, let stand for 15 minutes.

Add salt and fluff with a fork
