Kentucky cheddar grits (mw)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 cups Water
1 cup Uncooked quick grits
1 teaspoon Salt
½ cup Butter/margarine
1 cup Grated sharp Cheddar cheese
2 Eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
¼ teaspoon Hot pepper sauce

Directions

In 3 quart microwave casserole, stir together water, grits and salt. Cook on High 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time. Add butter and cheese, stir well. Cook on High 1-2 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Stir well. Add to beaten eggs the Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and hot pepper sauce. Stir into grits. Cook on roast cycle 10-12 minutes, or until almost set in center. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
