Chocolate macadamla nut cookles

10 tablespoons Butter
(no substitutes), softened
¾ cup Packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 each Egg -- lightly beaten
1 cup All-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon Baking powder
12 Caramel
2 tablespoons Whipping cream
teaspoon Baking soda
teaspoon Salt
cup Semisweet chocolate chips
¾ cup Macadamia nuts -- coarsely
Chopped
¾ cup Pecans -- coarsely chopped

Directions

CARAMEL GLAZE

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add egg. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 deg. for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Cool on a wire rack. For glaze, melt the caramels and cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies. Yield: 2 dozen.
