Dinner fruit porridge
1 Servings
Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
1 | cup | Red River cereal |
3 | cups | Water |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
¼ | teaspoon | Maple flavouring |
1 | Banana | |
8 | Dried apricots | |
4 | Dried prunes | |
½ | cup | Raisins |
½ | cup | Coconut, shredded |
2 | tablespoons | Raw honey |
Directions
While you bring the cereal, water, flavouring and salt to a boil, slice or snip the bananas, apricots, and prunes right into the pot, stirring each in well. Add the rest, and when thick enough to suit your taste, serve in bowls. It'll feed two sesquatch (who really like bananas) or four normal humans (well, we could get into a bit of scatological humour here and debate the point, but I'll resist the urge).
I put a dollop of yogurt on top, to make it look trendy (as if porridge could). It did. It was AMAZING! And then he kissed me -- he really did! Posted to FATREEE list members by Michelle Dick while the list was down.
