Farmer's market cobbler

Ingredients

½ cup Butter
¾ cup Flour; all-purpose
1 teaspoon Baking powder (heaping)
cup Sugar
½ teaspoon Salt
cup Milk
1 quart Fruit (blueberries, peaches,
. apricots, blackberries,
. pears or apples); fresh
. or frozen

Directions

Melt the butter in a 2-quart baking dish. Combine the dry ingredients, reserving ½ cup sugar. Stir into melted butter in the baking dish. Add the milk and stir again.

Bring the fruit and ½ cup of sugar to a boil. As soon as it boils, remove from the heat and pour over the batter. Don't stir.

Bake at 400øF for 30 minutes.
