French beans in tomato sauce

1 | medium | Size onion; peeled and chopped |
2 | Cloves garlic; peeled and crushed | |
1 | 200 gram can tomatoes; drained and chopped | |

1 | teaspoon | Mixed herbs |
1 | tablespoon | Tomato puree |
375 | grams | French beans; topped and tailed |
; (12oz) | ||
Ground black pepper |
Directions
1. Heat the oil in a pan gently and soften the onion and garlic.
2. Add the tomatoes, herbs and tomato pure and simmer the sauce for 15 minutes.
3. Rinse the beans and boil them for 4 minutes in water, then drain them well.
4. Season the tomato sauce and toss in the beans.
5. Raise the heat for half a minute and then serve immediately.
